This blog ain't dead! This is a cry from the heart as well as a reality since I'll remain in Mexico City for a couple of months more before sailing to the North Pacific ocean. Our entire development team will also remain in the capital and I expect to pay them frequent visits. Yet it won't be the same, I know. I'll post even more infrequently after February 2007 (if that's at all humanly possible, snigger) but I do intend to keep Living in Mexico alive.

I agree with Fernando, you will realize what living in Mexico really is. The real question is how much of that will be a sigh of relief from things like the insufferable traffic of MC, or cursing the prohibitive prices of the Bay Area. I had actually thought that your previous idea of moving to Austin was very good (Great high tech environment, one of the best cities in the U.S. in every regard and very affordable), living in Dallas, I think no-State-income-tax-Texas is a good choice, but oh well. I used to live in SoCal and loved it, but the caveat was that my dad was paying for our bills :0)

As a mexican living for 3 years in Spain and knowing what California's all about (been there: a quite good place to live), let me tell you one thing:
Now you will begin to understand what "Living in Mexico" really means.
