I confess writing this post in a spontaneous eruption of rage in the office and thereafter thinking it just wasn't the type of entry I was proud of for this blog. However, some of you did spot its sudden disappearance and asked me why I put it in early retirement. The truth be said, I stand by the gist of what I wrote, except that I felt the need to soften the title. Here it goes:
What I cannot stand about Mexico is without a doubt the total lack of respect people from this country have for others when it comes to noise. This is the one feature common across all social classes and cultural backgrounds: Mexicans just love to burst bubble wrap in the office, talk loud in the driveway at 3:00AM, shoot fireworks at 5:00AM, take phone calls in the movie theater and generally act like they are completely insensitive to the others' right for just a little bit of well-deserved SILENCE!
